Elizabeth A. Russell is a Partner of Schell & Oglesby, LLC and began her career as a trial lawyer in Franklin, Tennessee with a general practice. As time went on, she became passionate about the criminal justice system and the rights of the accused as well as victims. Elizabeth is a rare trial lawyer in that she practices both civil and criminal litigation. She has considerable, and diverse, trial experience at both the state and federal level in areas ranging from driving under the influence to first degree murder. It is her experience in both criminal and civil law that enables Elizabeth to provide her clients with specialized representation on a broad range of issues. Elizabeth takes pride in taking the time to explain the legal system and describe the process, each step of the way, so that her clients are confident in her representation and understand what to expect in navigating the legal process which can be intimidating and overwhelming.
Elizabeth is an active member in the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Williamson County Bar Association. In addition to her advocacy work, Elizabeth volunteers her time with pro bono legal clinics and serves as the mock trial coach for Franklin High School in the annual statewide competition hosted by the Tennessee Bar Association.
